AN ORDINANCE
GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE FOR JOB TRAINING AND
VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES AT 1100 SUMMIT STREET
WHEREAS, written application has been made for a CF
Community Facility District conditional use for job training
and vocational rehabilitation services at 1100 Summit Street;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Development Commission
conducted a public hearing after due notice by publication and
has submitted its findings of fact and recommended approval;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in
the findings and recommendation of the Planning and
Development Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of Elgin
hereby adopts the findings of fact made by the Planning and
Development Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A.
Section 2 . That a conditional use for job training and
vocational rehabilitation services at 1100 Summit Street and
legally described as follows :
That part of the Southwest Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 41 North,
Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast
Corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Southeast
Quarter; thence South 1 degree 13 minutes West along
the East line of said Southwest Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter, 766 feet to the North line of
State Route 58; thence South 89 degrees 49 minutes
West along said North line, 341 . 18 feet; thence
North 1 degrees 13 minutes East parallel with the
East line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter 759 .95 feet to a point in the North Line of
said Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter;
thence North 87 degrees 30 minutes East along said
North line 341 .53 feet to the point of beginning
(except the South 508. 36 feet of the East 150 . 00
feet thereof) ; also including that part of State
Route 58 (Evanston-Elgin Road) lying 100 feet South
of the aforesaid property between the East and West
lines extended Southerly, in Cook County, Illinois .

be and is hereby granted subject to the following conditions :
1 . Substantial compliance with the site plan,
prepared by ACBI Architects, dated July 26, 1990 .
2 . Compliance with all other applicable codes
and ordinances .
Section 3. That the conditional use granted herein shall
expire if not established within one year from the date of
passage of this ordinance.
Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage in the manner
provided by law.
