AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Southwest Corner of Randall Road and Weld Road)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of
certain territory has been filed with the City Clerk
requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under
oath by all the owners of record that no electors reside on
the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Elgin and is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality; and
WHEREAS, legal notice of the intent of the City of Elgin
to annex said territory have been forwarded to all public
bodies required to receive said notice in the manner provided
by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the territory and lands described as
follows be and are annexed to and made a part of the City of

16, part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 17,

Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning
at the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter of
Section 20; thence North 89 degrees 57 minutes 58
seconds West, along the South line of said Northeast
Quarter, a distance of 1425.00 feet; thence North 01
degree 18 minutes 42 seconds East, along said
monumented line, a distance of 1064 .86 feet (record
being 1056 .00 feet) to an existing iron stake;
thence North 81 degrees 46 minutes 06 seconds East,
along a monumented line, a distance of 105 .32 feet
rn (record being 105.50 feet) to the Southerly
extension of the Westerly line, as monumented, of
Weldwood Oaks, being a subdivision of part of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 16 and part of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 17 and part of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 20, all in Township and
Range aforesaid; thence South 88 degrees 40 minutes
08 seconds East, a distance of 383. 19 feet (record
being 384 . 14 feet) ; thence North 10 degrees 46
minutes 46 seconds East, parallel with the Westerly
line, as monumented, of said Weldwood Oaks, a
distance of 253 . 00 feet to the Southerly line, as
monumented, of a dedicated public road per Document
No. 1124023; thence South 79 degrees 07 minutes 58
seconds East, along said Southerly line, as
monumented, a distance of 106 . 10 feet (record being
106 . 00 feet) to the Southeasterly corner thereof;
thence North 10 degrees 52 minutes 02 seconds East,
along an Easterly line, as monumented, of said
dedicated road, a distance of 40 .00 feet; thence
North 79 degrees 07 minutes 58 seconds West, along a
Northerly line of said dedicated road, a distance of

line, as monumented, of said dedicated road, being
along a curve to the left having a radius of 234 .83

in the Circuit Court of Kane County, Illinois, Case

seconds East, along said Southwesterly line, as

to a line that is perpendicular to the Westerly
right of way line, as monumented, of Randall Road

measured along said Westerly right of way line,
Southerly of the intersection of said Westerly right
of way line and a Southerly line, as monumented, of
aforesaid Circuit Court Case No. 60-1166; thence
South 80 degrees 54 minutes 53 seconds East, along
said perpendicular line, a distance of 250. 17 feet
(record being 247 .78 feet) , to the said Westerly

all of that part of Weldwood Drive adjoining the
above described property lying Southwesterly of a
line perpendicular to the Southeasterly line of
aforesaid Weldwood Oaks at the most Southerly corner
of Lot 8 of said Weldwood Oaks and all of that part
of Randall Road lying between the Westerly extension
of the South line of South Street and the South line
of said Northwest Quarter of Section 21, being
situated in Elgin Township, Kane County, and
containing 119 .47 acres more or less .
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate map of said territories shall be

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS
TO: Board of Trustees, Pingree Grove Fire District and
Board of Trustees, South Elgin Fire District
(See attached Rider)
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Elgin, Kane and Cook
Counties, which provides fire protection services, is
contemplating annexation of a tract of land located in Elgin
Township at the southwest corner of Randall Road and Weld Road,
and legally described as follows :

Such real estate is located in the Pingree Grove and South
Elgin Fire Districts, and this Notice is served upon you
pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-1 of Chapter 24 of the
Illinois Revised Statutes .
This matter will be considered by the City Council of the City
of Elgin at its Council meeting in the City Hall Council
Chambers, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois, on Wednesday,
October 24, 1990, at 8 p.m.
