The proposed automobile laundry features stacking for approximately 16 vehicles , 1 stacking space behind each wash bay and 10 stacking spaces extending from the southerly wash bay to the beginning of the entrance aisle . The Land Use Committee recently recommended that 4 stacking spaces be provided for each self- service wash bay and that 10 stacking spaces be provided for each automatic wash bay at an automobile laundry. Using that recommendation as a standard , a total of 24 stacking spaces would be required to serve the proposed use . Sources : Engineering Division , City of Elgin .
