HomeMy WebLinkAboutG91-88 Ordinance No. G91-88 AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY AT 50 CERESA DRIVE WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain property located at 50 Ceresa Drive from R-I Single Family Residence District to M-I Limited Manufacturing District; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has conducted a public hearing after due notice and submitted its written findings and recommendations to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Land Use Committee and concurs in such recommendations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section I. That Chapter 19.08, Section 19.08.020, entitled "Zoning District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph: "The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the 'Zoning District Map', as amended, be and are hereby altered by excluding from the R-I Single Family Residence District and including in the M-I Limited Manufacturing District, the following described property: That part of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 6 in Kings Lane Subdivision, a subdivision in part of said Section 18, being a point on the easterly line of the Second Addition to Highview Hills, a subdivision in part of said Section 18; thence south- westerly along the easterly line of the Second Addition to Highview Hills and said easterly line extended 605.65 feet; thence southeasterly at right angles to the last described course, 390.53 feet to the westerly line of Ceresa Drive, as platted in Kings Lane Subdivision; thence northeasterly along said westerly line, 520.38 feet to the southerly line extended of Lots I through 5 in Kings Lane Subdivision; thence northwesterly along said southerly line extended and along said southerly line, 399.73 feet to the place of beginning, containing 5.047 acres in the City of Elgin, Hanover Township, Cook County, Illinois." Section 2.
