HomeMy WebLinkAboutG67-88 (1164* Ordinance No. G67-88 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A CHURCH WHEREAS, written application has been made for a special use for the establish- ment, maintenance and operation of church at 130 South Gifford Street and 390 Fulton Street; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing after due notice by publication and has submitted its findings of fact and recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the findings and recommendation of the Land Use Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section I. That the City Council of the City of Elgin hereby adopts the findings of fact made by the Elgin Land Use Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A. Section 2. That a special use for a church at 130 South Gifford Street and 390 Fulton Street, Elgin, Illinois, legally described as follows: Lot 2 in F.L. McClure's Subdivision of Elgin, and part of an alley in Block 4 of J.T. Gifford's Addition and in F.L. McClure's Subdivision in the City of Elgin described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Southeast Corner on the East 13.62 feet of Lot 3 in F.L. McClure's Subdivision; thence East 15 feet to a point on the West Line of Lot 2 in Block 4 of J.T. Gifford's Addition to Elgin; thence Northerly a distance of 133.98 feet along the Westerly Line of said Lot 2 of Block 4 of J.T. Gifford's Addition; thence Westerly a distance of 15 feet to a point on the Northeast Corner of Lot 2 in F.L. McClure's Subdivision; thence Southerly a distance of 133.98 feet to the point of beginning, and Lots I, 2, 7 and 8 in Block 4 of J.T. Gifford's Addition to Elgin, and Lots 5 and 6 in Block 6 of J.T. Gifford's Addition to Elgin, all located in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois (said property is commonly known as 103 South Gifford Street and 390 Fulton Street). be and is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: I. Substantial conformance to the revised site plans prepared by Prisco-Duffy & Associates, dated August 31, 1988. 2. Removal of paving not associated with driveways approaches or sidewalks from the treebank areas. 3. Compliance with all other applicable codes and ordinances. r Section 3. That the special use granted herein shall expire if not established within one year from the date of passage of this ordinance. Section 4.
