G-1633 GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A HELIPORT WHEREAS, written application has been made to amend Ordinance No. G-1633 entitled, "An Ordinance Granting a Special Use for a Heliport at Saint Joseph Hospital" to permit the relocation of a heliport; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has conducted a public hearing following notice by publication as required by law and has submitted its written findings and recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois, concurs in the findings and recommendations of the Elgin Land Use Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section I. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. G-1633 be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois, hereby adopts the findings of the Land Use Committee, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A, to permit the relocation of a heliport on the /,,., property legally described as follows: Outlot A of Country Knolls, Unit 8, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. (Commonly known as 77 North Air lite Street) subject to the following conditions: I. Location and development of the heliport shall be in substantial conformance with the St. Joseph Hospital site plan and the petitioner's statement of conformance, dated October I I, 1987. 2. Submission of an executed Certificate of Approval from the Division of Aeronautics, Illinois Department of Transportation. 3. The use of the heliport shall be limited to use as a restricted landing site for emergency medical purposes only. 4. Use of the existing heliport shall be terminated when the new heliport becomes operational. 5. Conformance with all applicable state and local codes and ordi- nances." Section 2. That all parts of Ordinance No. G-1633 in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. Section 3. That, except as amended herein, Ordinance No. G-1633 remains in full force and effect. Section 4.
