HomeMy WebLinkAboutG27-88 Ordinance No. G27-88 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, written application has been made for a special use for the establish- ment, maintenance and operation of a planned unit development to permit the introduc- tion of catered social events within an existing Residential Condominium Development at 1450 Plymouth Lane; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing after due notice by publication and has submitted its findings of fact and recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the findings and recommendation of the Land Use Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section I. That the City Council of the City of Elgin hereby adopts the findings of fact made by the Elgin Land Use Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A. Section 2. That a special use for a planned unit development to permit the introduction of catered social events within an existing Residential Condominium Development at 1450 Plymouth Lane, Elgin, Illinois, legally described as follows: That part of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the South line of said Southwest Quarter with the Westerly line of McLean Boulevard; thence Northerly along said Westerly line of McLean Boulevard, 196.30 feet for the point of beginning; thence Northerly along said Westerly line 50 feet; thence West parallel with the South line of said Southwest Quarter 272.54 feet; thence Northwesterly along a line forming an angle of 67 degrees 51 minutes 50 seconds to the right with the prolongation of the last described course, 120.64 feet; thence East parallel with the South line of said quarter section 60 feet; thence Northerly along a line forming an angle of 90 degrees 24 minutes to the left with the prolongation of the last described course, 138.28 feet; thence West parallel with the South line of said quarter section 1043.05 feet to the West line of the East Half of said Southwest Quarter; thence South along said West line 300.02 feet to a point 196.30 feet North of the Southwest Corner of the East Half of said South- west Quarter; thence East parallel with the South line of said quarter section 1309.15 feet to the point of beginning, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois (said property is commonly known as 1450 Plymouth Lane). be and is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: I. Substantial conformance to the clubhouse floor plan dated February 8, 1 988. rbn 2. Compliance with all other applicable codes and ordinances. • . Section 3. That the special use granted herein shall expire if not established within one year from the date of passage of this ordinance. Section 4.
