HomeMy WebLinkAboutG33-87 Ordinance No. G33-87 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR AN OFF-STREET PARKING LOT WHEREAS, written application has been made for a special use for the establishment, maintenance and operation of an off-street parking lot at 50 South Lyle Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing after due notice by publication and has submitted its findings of fact and recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the findings and recommendation of the Land Use Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section I. That the City Council of the City of Elgin hereby adopts the findings of fact made by the Elgin Land Use Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A. Section 2. That a special use for an off-street parking lot at 50 South Lyle Avenue, Elgin, Illinois, legally described as follows: Lots 12 and 13 in Block I of Walter G. McIntosh and Company's Fox River Gardens in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. be and is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: 1. Provide the following parking lot setbacks to be maintained as green space: a. A 25 foot setback from the east property line. b. A 3 foot setback from the north property line. c. A 6 foot setback from the west property line. d. A 16.5 foot setback from the south property line. 2. Provide 100% screening or landscaping in all setback areas abutting lots zoned for residential use. 3. Compliance with all other applicable codes and ordinances. Section 3. That the special use granted herein shall expire if not established within one year from the date of passage of this ordinance. Section 4.
