AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CERTAIN PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE
CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I . That Title II, Chapter 11.36 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1 976, as
amended, be and is hereby further amended by deleting from the list of streets where
parking is prohibited under Section I I.36.050M the following:
E. Chicago Street, south side, from one hundred fifty feet east of the
intersection with Liberty Street to Chapel Street, from November 1st to
April 1st.
Gifford Street, west side, from three hundred feet south of Summit
Street.
Gifford Street, both sides, from Summit Street to Villa Street, from
November I st to April 1st.
Section 2. That Title 11 , Chapter 11.36 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as
amended, be and is hereby further amended by adding to the list of streets where parking
is prohibited under Section 11 .36.050M the following:
E. Chicago Street, south side, from one hundred fifty feet east of the
intersection with Liberty Street to Gifford Street, from November Ist to
April 1st.
Gifford Street, west side thereof, from Summit Street to Villa Street,
from November 1st to April 1st, except from DuPage Street to Prairie
Street from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, and from 8:00 a.m. to
1 :00 p.m. on Sunday.
Section 3. That Title I I , Chapter 1 1.36 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as
amended, be and is hereby further amended by deleting from the list of snow emergency
routes under Section 1 1 .36.090 the following:
Chicago Street from State Street to Willard Avenue.
Section 3. That Title 11 , Chapter 11.36 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as
amended, be and is hereby further amended by adding to the list of snow emergency
routes under Section 1 1 .36.090 the following:
Chicago Street, south side, from State Street to Gifford Street.
Chicago Street, south side, from 150 feet east of Liberty Street to
Willard Avenue.
Chicago Street, north side, from State Street to Willard Avenue.

Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its
passage and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
