AN ORDINANCE
GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A COMMUNITY SERVICE FACILITY
WHEREAS, written application has been made for a special use for the
establishment, maintenance and operation of a community service facility at 1300 Bluff
City Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing after due notice
by publication and has submitted its findings of fact and recommended approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the findings and
recommendation of the Land Use Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That the City Council of the City of Elgin hereby adopts the findings of
fact made by the Elgin Land use Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That a special use for a community service facility at 1300 Bluff City
Boulevard, Elgin, Illinois, legally described as follows:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 41 North,
Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the center line of State Road (Illinois State
Route 20) North 71 degrees 45 minutes West, 440.58 feet distance as
measured along the center line of said State Road from the East line of the
West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20; thence South 5 degrees
21 minutes West, a distance of 60.00 feet from the center line of said State
Road for a point of beginning; thence continuing South along the last
described course a distance of 254.00 feet to a point that is North 72
degrees 39 minutes West, 470.60 feet from a point on the East line of the
West Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 20; thence North 72
degrees 39 minutes West, 277.99 feet; thence Northerly along a straight
line parallel to the Easterly boundary line of premises herein described
279.55 feet more or less to the Southerly right-of-way line of said State
Road; thence Southeasterly along the Southerly right-of-way line of said
State Road to a point which is North 71 degrees 45 minutes West, a
distance of 120.00 feet from a point in the Easterly boundary line extended
of said premises; thence Southeasterly 128.00 feet to the point of
beginning, being situated in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois.
be and is hereby granted.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage in the manner provided by law.
