AN ORDINANCE
PROHIBITING THE UNAUTHORIZED USE OF PARKING PLACES
RESERVED FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 11.36.155 is hereby added to the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, which shall read as follows:
"11.36.155 Unauthorized use of parking places reserved
for handicapped persons
No person shall park any motor vehicle which is not
bearing registration plates issued to a physically handi-
ca, ped person or disabled veteran issued pursuant to Sec-
tion 3-616 or 3-609 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, or
handicapped motorist decal or device issued by a local
governing authority, in the following parking spaces
specifically reserved for handicapped parking by the
posting of an official sign:
A. Municipal Parking Lot at Dexter Court,
the northernmost three spaces in the westernmost
row.
B. Civic Center Parking Lot, the northern-
most three spaces in the westernmost row and the
easternmost three spaces in the southernmost row."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication in the manner provided by law.
