AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE REGULATIONS OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 6.06.150(0) of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"0. Permit any person, who is not of lawful age, to
purchase, possess or receive any alcoholic liquor, to remain
on the premises of a Class A licensee unless said person is
accompanied by his or her parent, legal guardian or spouse.
This subsection shall not apply to food service establishments
or bowling alleys except areas segregated and designated princi-
pally for the sale or consumption of alcoholic liquor therein."
Section 2. That Section 6.06.160(F) of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"F. It is unlawful for any person, who is not of lawful
age, to purchase, possess or receive any alcoholic liquor, to
remain on the premises of a Class A licensee unless that person
is accompanied by his or her parent, legal guardian or spouse.
This subsection shall not apply to food service establishments
or bowling alleys except areas segregated and designated princi-
pally for the sale or consumption of alcoholic liquor therein."
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication in the manner provided by law.
