AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FARES AND CHARGES FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONS BY MOTOR VEHICLES BY EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OF THE CITY OF ELGIN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That there is hereby established the following schedule of fares for municipal bus service provided by the Department of Trans- portation of the City of Elgin: Fare Routes Within the_i.Crt! rofj El$in Adult 30¢ Senior Citizens and Handicapped (with proper I.D.) 15¢ Students 1. With Transportation Department Passes Students of high school age and below traveling to and from school between the hours of 6:15 a.m, and 6:00 p.m. 15¢ 2. With School District U-46 Passes Students of high school age and below traveling to and from school between the hours of 6:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Free Children from age 7 through age 11 15¢ Children age 6 years and younger (when accompanied by a fare paying passenger) Free Elgin Transfers Free RTA Universal Transfer 30¢ (Students, Senior Citizen and Handicapped 15¢) Elgin/Aurora Bus Route Adults Base: Fare 30¢ Between,Zones Base Fare plus 10¢ for Each Zone Traveled Senior Citizens, Children (age 7-11) , and Handicapped Persons .BRse Fare 15¢ .Veen ,Zones Base Fare plus 5¢ for Each Zone Traveled Children4age 6 $ inder)r) Free when Accompanied by Fare Paying Passenger Students (grades K- 12) On regularly scheduled school days during the school year the trips from home to school and from school to home between the hours of 6:10 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Base Fare 15¢ Between Zones Base Fare plus 5¢ for Each Zone Traveled
