AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Section 6.06.040 of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, as amended, and entitled "Employee Permits" is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the following: "Permits shall be issued only to persons eligible to obtain a license for the sale of alcoholic liquor." Section 2. That Section 6.06.060 of Chapter 6.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, as amended, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "License — Number to be issued. The number of Class A and Class AA licenses shall not exceed a combined total of thirty in number. A holder of a Class AA license who desires to surrender said license and acquire a Class A license shall dispose of all inventory of packaged goods within thirty days after the issuance of the Class A license. The number of Class B licenses shall not exceed thirteen in number. Additional Class B licenses may be issued by ordinance for each increase of 5,000 persons in excess of the last official census conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau." Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed. Section 4.
