HomeMy WebLinkAboutG47-76 Ordinance No. G47-76 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FARES AND CHARGES FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OF THE CITY OF ELGIN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the following fares and charges be and are hereby established for use by passengers of municipal bus transportation system operated by the Department of Transportation of the City of Elgin for routes within the City of Elgin: Adult Fares 30¢ High School and Junior High School Students (12 years of age and above) 15¢ Children Five Years of Age through 11 Years of Age 15¢ Children under Five Years of Age Free Transfers Free Tokens 8 for $2.00 provided, however, that tokens shall be discontinued after December 31, 1976. fluk Provided further that students shall display their identification cards when paying the fare established for high school and junior high school students. Said fare shall be in effect only on regular school days (not including summer school) during the hours between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.). Section 2. That the fares and charges for using the municipal bus line operated by the Department of Public Transportation of the City of Elgin offering service between Elgin and Aurora be and the same are established as follows: Basic Fare 30¢ Each Zone 10¢ Section 3. That Ordinance G1570, passed on January 24, 1973, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 4.
