HomeMy WebLinkAboutG70-75 Ordinance No. G70-75 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES TO THE CITY OF ELGIN WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain territories has been filed with the City Clerk requesting annexation of certain property to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under oath by all the owners of record that no electors reside on the subject territory; and WHEREAS, said territories are contiguous to the City of Elgin and are not within the corporate limits of any municipality; and WHEREAS, notice has been given to the Pingree-Grove Fire Protection District and the Gail Borden Public Library District in accordance with state statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows be and are annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged and extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin said territory: elk Lot 6 in Country Acres, being a Subdivision in part of Section 21, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian. Also that part of the North Half of South Street lying Southerly of, and adjacent to the above described property. All being situated in the Township of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said territories shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois. Section 3.
