AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 669 STEWART AVENUE
FROM B-3 TO R-2
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain
property located at 669 Stewart Avenue from B-3, Service Business District
to R-2, Single Family Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has submitted its recommendations to the
Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board held a public hearing after due notice as
required by law and has recommended approval of said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Subsection b of Section 21-106, Chapter 21 of the
City Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be, and the same is hereby amended
by adding to it the following paragraph:
"That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out
in the 'Zoning District Map, ' as amended, be and are hereby
altered by including in the R-2, Single Family Residence
District, and deleting from the B-3, Service Business District,
the following described premises:
The East 44.5 feet of Lot $ and that part of Lots 28 and
29 lying westerly of a line drawn from a point in the northerly
line of said Lot 28, 2.5 feet East of the Northwest corner
thereof to a point in the South line of Lot 29, 5 feet West of
the Southeast corner thereof, all in Block 2 of Trout Park
Subdivision, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois."
commonly known as 669 Stewart Avenue.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
