HomeMy WebLinkAboutG52-74 Ordinance No. G52-74 AN ORDINANCE 0°' REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED Al 610 SOUTH McLEAN BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF ELGIN WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain property at 610 South McLean Boulevard, Elgin, Illinois, from R-2, Single Family Residence District, to B-3, Service Business District; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has submitted its recommendations to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board held a public hearing after due notice as required by law and has recommended approval of said application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Subsection b of Section 21-106, Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be, and the same is hereby amended by adding to it the following paragraph: "That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid out in the 'Zoning District Map, ' as amended, be and are hereby altered by including in the B-3, Service Business District, and deleting from R-2, Single Family Residence District, the following described premises: That part of the Southwest quarter of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the North line of said Southwest quarter and the center line of a public highway (McLean Boulevard) ; thence Southwesterly along said center line of said highway 792 feet to an angle in said highway; thence Southwesterly along the center line of said highway 457.65 feet to a point 142.35 feet Northerly (measured along the center line of said highway) from the South line of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 22, being the Northeasterly corner of lands conveyed to George D. Carbary and Lillian L. Carbary by Warranty Deed dated November 14, 1941 and recorded December 16, 1941 in book 1162, page 165 as document 481197 for a place of beginning; thence North 76'28' West 356.4 feet along said Northerly line; thence North 13°19' East 99.3 feet; thence South 76°28' East 362 feet to a point in the center line of said public highway; thence Southwesterly along said center line, being on a curve to the left 100 feet to the place of beginning, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois." commonly known as 610 South McLean Boulevard. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. r Section 3.
