AN ORDINANCE
ZONING CERTAIN TEiRI'I'ORIES ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
WHEREAS, certain territories have been annexed to the City of Elgin,
Illinois in accordance with a pre-annexation agreement; and
WHEREAS, a written petition to classify said territory in the R-Z and
R-4, General Residence Districts; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has reviewed said petition and made its
recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing after
due notice and has recommended that the classification requested ne granted
for the subject territory.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the following described territory be and is hereby
included with R-2, General Residence District, as set forth in the Elgin
Zoning Ordinance, as amended:
PARCEL 1: That part of the South Half of Section 28, Township
41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as
follows, to wit: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the West Half
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 28; thence South 00 degrees
( 24 minutes 30 seconds West, along the East line of said West Half of
the Southeast Quarter, 1200.00 feet; thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes
30 seconds West, 190.00 feet; thence South 00 degrees 24 minutes 30

Southerly along the Westerly line of Lot 89, aforesaid, 9.18 feet for the
point of beginning; thence Westerly parallel with the North line extended

of beginning of the tract of land herein described; thence Northerly

distance of 600 feet to the point of beginning of the parcel to be

Section 3. That Subsection b of Section 21-106 or Chapter 2i of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Elgin, Illinois, as amended, be and hereby
is further amended in accordance with Sections i and 2 of this ordinance by
including said territories in the districts described.
section 4. That said territories shall be subject to the provisions of
an annexation agreement entered into by the City of Elgin and Interim Invest-
ment Corporation, Rollins Sewer and Water Company, the First National Bank of
Elgin and Alsip Bank on June 13, 1974.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage in the manner provided by law.
