HomeMy WebLinkAboutG-1575 Ordinance No. G-1575 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES AND CHARGES AT THE MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSES OF THE CITY OF ELGIN FOR THE 1973 GOLF SEASON AND ESTABLISHING CERTAIN POLICIES RELATIVE TO THE OPERATION OF SUCH COURSES. WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that it is necessary and proper to establish a new fee schedule and other policies relative to the operation of the municipal golf course of the City of Elgin for the 1973 golf season. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the following fees and charges be, and the same are hereby established for the two municipal golf courses for the 1973 season, to-wit: Spartan Wing Course Course Season Tickets: Adults (Age 16 and above) $ 70.00 $ 35.00 Adult Couples (Husband and Wife) 105.00 55.00 Senior (Age 65 years and over) 45.00 20.00 Youth (High School Students or 30.00 15.00 Age 15 and below) Non-Resident - Adults 95.00 50.00 Couples 145.00 80.00 Seniors 70.00 35.00 Youth 55.00 30.00 Daily Fee: Spartan Course 18 Holes 9 Holes Twilight Adults (week days) $ 3.50 $ 2.50 $ 2.50 Youths & Senior (week days) $ 2.50 $ 1.50 $ 1.50 Adults (Sat. Sun. & Holidays) $ 5.00 $ 3.50 Youth (Sat. Sun. & Holidays) $ 3.50 $ 2.50 Daily Fee: Wing Course Regular Twilight Adults (week days) $ 2.50 $ 1.75 Youth & Senior (week days) $ 1.50 $ 1.00 Adults (Sat. Sun. & Holidays) $ 2.00 79 February 28, 1973 VOLUME XXXVIII Youths must be accompanied by a parent in order to play Saturday, Sunday and holidays and during twilight time, except at Wing Course on Tuesday and All Thursday. TWILIGHT TIME Spartan and Wing 4:00 p.m. Daily Rate at Spartan entitles player to one or more rounds. Rate at Wing entitles player to one round only. Section 2. That self-propelled golf carts shall be permitted on the Spartan Course only. Section 3. That the City shall stock and sell a line of golf supplies and sell food and non-alcoholic beverages on both courses; that golf leagues shall be promoted and golf tournaments encouraged at both courses. Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law. W. Glink, City Clerk Resolution Adopted Authorizing Application to the Illinois State Highway Authority for a Permit for Installation of a Water Main Under and Across the Northwest Tollway Councilman Verbic made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Pearsaul to adopt a resolution authorizing application to the Illinois State Highway Authority for a permit for the installation of a water main under and across the Northwest Tollway. Yeas: Councilmen Bruneman, Doxey, Landis, Pearsaul, Santanni, Verbic and Mayor Rauschenberger, Nays: None.
