rft AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS , EN-
TITLED "THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE" .
WHEREAS , a public hearing has been duly held pursuant
to Statute of the State of Illinois and the provisions of
the Elgin Zoning Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , the Elgin Zoning Board of Appeals has transmitted
its recommendations to the City Council , all of which have
been duly considered .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Sub-section B of Section 21-106 of
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin , Illinois , as amended ,
be , and the same hereby is , amended by adding thereto the
following paragraph :
That the boundaries hereinbefore described and laid
out in the "Zoning District Map" , as amended , be ,
and they hereby are , altered and amended in the
following manner , to-wit:
By including in R- 5 , General Residence District the
e following described premises , to-wit:
Part of the Northwest quarter of Section 27 , and
part of the Northeast quarter of Section 28 , all
in Township 41 North , Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian , described as follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the North line
of the Northwest quarter of Section 27 , as aforesaid ,
and the center line of McLean Boulevard ; thence
Southwesterly along said center line being along
a curve to the left a distance of 50 . 64 feet
more or less to a point on said center line ,
being 50 . 0 feet South of said North line of the
Northwest quarter of Section 27 , as aforesaid ,
as measured at right angles to said North line ;
thence Westerly parallel to said North line of
the Northwest quarter of Section 27 , as aforesaid ,
a distance of 217 . 0 feet; thence Southwesterly
along a curve to the left having a radius of
685 .0 feet and being tangent to the last
described course , a distance of 455 . 0 feet;
thence Southwesterly along a line that is
tangent to the last described curve a
distance of 615. 0 feet; thence Southwesterly and
Northwesterly along a curve to the right having a
eft radius of 545 . 0 feet and being tangent to the last
described course , a distance of 568. 0 feet ; thence
Northwesterly along a line that is tangent to the
last described curve , a distance of 417 . 0 feet ;
thence Northwesterly and Southwesterly along a curve
to the left having a radius of 645 . 0 feet and being
tangent to the last described course, a distance of
608. 0 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line that is
tangent to the last described curve , a distance of
543 . 0 feet ; thence Southwesterly and Northwesterly
along a curve to the right having a radius of 790 . 0
feet , and being tangent to the last described course ,
a distance of 680 . 0 feet; thence Northwesterly along
a line that is tangent to the last described curve ,
a distance of 30 . 0 feet ; thence Northeasterly ,
Northwesterly , and Southwesterly along a curve to
the left having a radius of 330 . 0 feet , ( the
radial line of said curve being an extension of the
last described course) , a distance of 994 . 0 feet;
thence Northwesterly along a radial line of said
last described curve a distance of 200 . 0 feet
more or less to a point on the West line of the
Northeast quarter of Section 28, as aforesaid ,
which is 634 . 50 feet South of the Northwest corner
of the Northeast quarter of Section 28, as aforesaid ,
thence North on the West line of the Northeast quarter
of Section 28 , as aforesaid , 634 . 50 feet to the
Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of
Section 28 , as aforesaid ; thence East along the
North line of the Northeast quarter of Section 28 ,
as aforesaid , 2653 . 80 feet to the Northeast
corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 28 ,
as aforesaid , said corner also being the Northwest
corner of the Northwest quarter of Section 27 ,

Elgin Township , Kane County , Illinois .
By including in R-2 , Single Family Residence District
the following described premises , to-wit:
Part of the Northwest quarter of Section
27 and part of the Northeast quarter of Section 28 ,
all in Township 41 North , Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian , described as follows :
Commencing at a point on the center line of McLean
Boulevard that is 50 . 0 feet South of , as measured at
right angles from the North line of the Northwest
quarter of Section 27 , as aforesaid , thence Westerly
parallel to the North line of the Northwest quarter
of Section 27 , as aforesaid , a distance of 217 . 0
feet; thence Southwesterly along a curve to the left
having a radius of 685 .0 feet and being tangent to
the last described course , a distance of 455 . 0 feet;
thence Southwesterly along a line that is tangent

Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith be , and the same hereby are , repealed and
of no further force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage , as provided by law , and
shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the
City Council .
