HomeMy WebLinkAboutS-846 Ordinance No. S-846 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A MODIFICATION OF THE SIDEWALK ORDINANCE AS IT PERTAINS TO A CERTAIN PORTION OF ELGIN AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Elgin requesting authorization for the modification of the Sidewalk Ordinance on, Elgin Avenue in the City of Elgin, Illinois, and WHEREAS, pursuant to authority given by resolution of the City Council, the City Manager has reviewed the request and recommended, in view of the general terrain and the location of existing sidewalks thereon, such modification is desirable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That a sidewalk of approved specifications be, and such hereby is, authorized to be constructed upon and along the following street in such a manner that the edge nearest the curb line of said street shall lie at a point 3 feet distant thereof, to-wit: Elgin Avenue, on the North side :thereof, between Grace Street and Elizabeth Avenue. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be repealed and of no further force and effect. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. Clyde L.
