AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES SITUATED IN SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP
.41 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN
HANOVER TOWNSHIP, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, TO THE CITY OF ELGIN,'
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS,.,a petition signed by all of the owners of record'residing on
the territories hereinafter described has been filed with the. City Clerk and
no electors reside thereon, and
WHEREAS, said territories are not within the corporate limits of any
municipality and are contiguous to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and
WHEREAS, said petition requests the annexation of such territories
to the City of Elgin, Illinois, and contains therein a statement under oath that
all of the owners of record of all of the land within such territories have ,,
joined in such petition and that no electors reside thereon, and
WHEREAS, said petition requests that in the event that said lands are
annexed to the City of Elgin that they be zoned M-1 Limited.Manufacturing
District, as set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City
Code of Elgin, Illinois), as amended, and

WHEREAS, the matter of zoning was referred to the Zoning Board of •
Appeals of the City of Elgin to publish notice and conduct the necessary pub-
lic hearing, all as in the statute made and provided, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Elgin has duly
advertised and held a public hearing pertaining to the zoning of said property
and has recommended that the said lands be classified as M-1 Limited Manu-
facturing District as provided by the Elgin Zoning Ordinance, as amended,
and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs with such rec-
ommendations made by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Elgin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF.
THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: .
Section 1. That territories and lands described as follows, to-wit:
That part of Section 2p, Township 41 North, Range 9 East of the
Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Commencing at the
Northwest corner of said Section 20; thence Easterly along the ' North
line of said Section 20, a distance of 1803. 07 feet to the Easterly

right of way line of the Public Service Company right of way as con-
veyed by Document No. 9373888; thence South 4 degrees 19 minutes
West along said Easterly right of way line 1741. 12 feet for the
place of beginning; thence continuing South 4 degrees 19 minutes West
along said Easterly right of way line 801. 18 feet to the South line -
of Lot "C" according to the plat filed with the Commissioner's' Report
in the Partition in Case No. 19700 in the Circuit Court of Cook County,
Illinois; thence South 83 degrees 00 minutes East along said South line
and said South line extended, a distance of 1604. 70 feet to the West-
erly right of way line of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway; thence
Northeasterly along said Westerly right of way line, a distance of
800. 45 feet; thence North 83 degrees 00 minutes West a distance of
1676. 20 feet to the place of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the
Westerly 40. 0 feet thereof. Being situated in Hanover Township, Cook
County, Illinois.

and that the boundary lines of the City of Elgin be, and they hereby are, en-
larged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries thereof thei
said described territories.
Section 2. That all of said territories hereinbefore described be,-.arid
• they hereby are, included in the M-1 Limited Manufacturing District as set
l rforth in the Elgin Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 21 of the City,Code of Elgin, Mi-
1 noisy as amended.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance together withvan accu-
rate map of the said annexed territories be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of
Cook County, . Illinois.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by
authority of the City Council.

of Elgin, Kane and Cook Counties, Illinois, was filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Elgin on gegtrb.r 19, 1966 , requesting the Municipal
authorities of the City o£ Elgin to annex tb the City of Elgin the following
described real estate located in Bseiavor Township, County,

Protection District and this Notice is served upon you pursuant to the
provisions of Section 7-1-1 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes,
