AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF
SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCI-
PAL MERIDIAN, ELGIN TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, TO THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all of the owners of record and electors
residing on the land hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, said petition requests the annexation of such territories to
the City of Elgin and contains statements therein under oath that all of the
owners of record and electors residing on such lands have joined in such
petition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows, to-wit:
That part of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 10,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Beginning at a point in the East line of said
Southwest quarter that is 887. 5 feet North of the South line of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 10; thence Westerly parallel with
the South line of the Southwest quarter of said Section 10 to a line
150. 0 feet West of and parallel with the West line of McLean Boule-
vard; thence Southerly parallel with the West line of McLean Boule-
vard, 60. 0 feet; thence Easterly parallel with the South line of said
Southwest quarter to the East line of said Southwest quarter; thence
Northerly along said East line 60. 0 feet to the place of beginning.
Being situated in Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois.
Also that portion of McLean Boulevard lying immediately to the
East and adjacent to the above-described tract, which is not already
within the corporate limits of the City of Elgin,
being contiguous to the City of Elgin and not a part of any municipality be,
and they are hereby, annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of Elgin be, and they are
hereby, enlarged and extended to include within the corporate boundaries thereof
the above-described territories.

Section 3. That said territories be, and they are hereby, included
in R®2 Single Family Residence District as set forth in the Elgin Zoning Ordi® 411,
nance (Chapter 21 of the City Code of Elgin, Illinois).
Section 4. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an
accurate map of said annexed territories, be filed with the Recorder of Deeds
of Kane County, Illinois.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, as provided by law, and shall be published in pamphlet
form by authority of the City Council.
