Myrtle E. Spiegler, City Clerk
The North side of Orange Street, between Wilcox Avenue and Marguerite Street,
had been proposed for a modification for curb sidewalks. Some of these
properties run through to Oak Street, and Walter Segerson, 831 Oak Street,
Otto Rebenstorf, 835 Oak Street, and residents with properties facing Orange
Street were present to speak for various solutions to their problems. It was
determined that the Council would visit this area before guidelines for defer-
rals are developed.
Elmer Kohwalter, 117 N. Alfred Avenue, had installed property line sidewalks
five years ago when his residence was built, and planted two maple trees,
which would be damaged by curb sidewalks. He wanted a jog in the sidewalk
at his residence if curb sidewalks are allowed elsewhere. Mr. Brunton recom-
mended that the Council also visit this location, before a decision is reached
on sidewalk location for remaining properties.

motion, seconded by Councilman Santanni to accept the reports and to order them
filed. Yeas: Councilmen Alft, Barber, Santanni, Wilson, and Mayor Shales.
