HomeMy WebLinkAboutS-767 Ordinance No. S-767 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF LUDLOW PLACE, A PUBLIC STREET LO- CATED AND PLATTED IN MASON'S ADDITION TO ELGIN, IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, a certain portion of Ludlow Place, a public street, platted in Mason's Addition to Elgin, abuts against the southerly line of U. S. Route 20 By-Pass (Federal Aid Route No. 6) and has never been improved, maintained, or used for street purposes, and, WHEREAS, the public interests will be subserved by the vacation of the following described portion of said public street, to-wit: That portion of Ludlow Place as platted in Mason's Addition to Elgin, lying northerly of the northerly line of Bluff City Boulevard extended and lying southerly of the southerly line of U. S. Route 20 By-Pass (Federal Aid Route No. 6) situ- ated in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the following described portion of a certain public street as platted and located in Mason's Addition to Elgin, in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, to-wit: That portion of Ludlow Place as platted in Mason's Addition to Elgin, lying northerly of the northerly line of Bluff City Boulevard extended and lying southerly of the southerly line of U. S. Route 20 By-Pass (Federal Aid Route No. 6) situ- ated in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, be and the same hereby is vacated for public street purposes. Section 2. Thata certified copy of this ordinance, together with a plat of the portion of said public street vacated, be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
