RESOLUTION
APPROVING A GRANT RECIPIENT ELIGIBILITY LIST UNDER
THE HISTORIC PAINT GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Historic Paint Grant Program has been established to provide financial
assistance and incentives for property owners within the Elgin National Watch Historic District
with exterior residential painting projects for the restoration of their properties; and
WHEREAS, in 2026 applications have been made for 12 projects under the city's Historic
Paint Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, said applications have been submitted to City staff which conducted a review
and scored applications based upon objective criteria and forwarded eligibility list to the City
Council which has reviewed and approved the list.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that the sum of $167,245 is allocated for the following twelve projects
approved under the grant recipient eligibility lists.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the projects shall be in conformance with all
applicable codes and ordinances.
