This structure ensures that all Council Members participate equally in making appointments, promotes fairness, and enhances transparency in the selection process. The rotation pairs two Council Members together for each appointment round, with one member rotating out each cycle. Over the course of nine cycles, each Council Member will have the opportunity to partner with every other member at least once. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. I plan to be present at next week's meeting as my final meeting. I have accepted an offer of employment at a university in east Tennessee, and my family and I will be relocating there in June of this year. Though I will be an Elgin resident for a bit longer, I wanted to give the city some time for a new appointment prior to what I anticipate will be a full interview schedule this Spring. I will also be working for my new employer remotely before relocating, and want to give myself time and space as we transition. Please let me know what next steps might look like, and if there is any other information I can provide that would be helpful to you. Have a great rest of your week.
