Parker, City Manager SUBJECT: Oakwood Hills Subdivision, Unit 4 PURPOSE The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the Mayor and members of the City Council with information to consider the acceptance of water main and sanitary sewer improvements in the Oakwood Hills Subdivision, Unit 4 . BACKGROUND The developer of the Oakwood Hills Subdivision, Unit 4 has completed the water and sanitary utilities and has requested the City accept them for ownership and maintenance . The development consists of eight multi-family buildings located south of Chicago Street at Woodview Drive (see attached location map) . Upon receipt of this request, the City' s Public Works staff scheduled inspections to verify that all improvements were constructed in accordance with the approved subdivision engineering plans. These inspections are now complete. Accep- tance of the subject improvements in Unit 4 will add approxi- mately 850 lineal feet of water main and 650 lineal feet of sanitary sewer. COMMUNITY GROUPS/INTERESTED PERSONS CONTACTED None. Yram FINANCIAL IMPACT There are no direct immediate costs associated with this acceptance . However, maintenance and operating costs will increase over time and will be included within the annual budgeting process . Aviv/ LEGAL IMPACT None. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council accept water main and Sanitary Sewer improvements within the Oakwood Hills Subdivi- sion, Unit 4 and direct the staff to prepare the necessary resolution.
