Parker, City Manager SUBJECT: Roadway Dedication - Big Timber Road - IDI Site PURPOSE The purpose of this memorandum is to present to the Mayor and members of the City Council a Roadway Plat of Dedication for property along Big Timber Road. BACKGROUND During the initial development of the IDI project on Big Timber Road, the City of Elgin purchased the Volkening proper- ty. Following the initial purchase, the City sold the majori- ty of the property to IDI . The ownership of the northern 60 (TA' feet of the lot was retained by the City. It was the City' s intent that this 60 feet would be dedicated to Kane County for highway purposes . It should be noted that a 33-foot strip of this property already contained a roadway easement for Big Timber Road. It is the ultimate goal of the county that the right-of-way for Big Timber Road shall be 120 feet .
