RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT #1 TO AN AGREEMENT WITH
PRC PUBLIC SECTOR, INC.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that Joyce A. Parker, City Manager, and Dolonna
Mecum, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed to
execute Amendment #1 to an Agreement on behalf of the City of
Elgin with PRC Public Sector, Inc . for the Computer Aided
Dispatch System, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof by reference.

THE CITY OF ELGIN,ILLINOIS
THIS AMENDMENT is made and entered into this / Tii day of.,,r.Ea, 199P
between PRC Public Sector, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("PRC") and the City of Elgrh, Illinois
("City").
WHEREAS, the parties hereto entered into that certain Agreement executed March 30, 1995
whereby PRC agreed to sell and provide for, and the City Agreed to purchase, a Computer Aided
Dispatch("CAD") System, and;
• WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend such Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE,the parties agree as follows:
1. Contract Deletions. PRC shall not provide the following items from Exhibit"A" of
the Agreement. Therefore; the following Items and their associated costs are deleted from Exhibit
"A" of the Agreement: .

SUBJECT: Change Order No. 1 with PRC Public Sector, Inc .
PURPOSE
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the Mayor and
members of the City Council information to consider an Agree-
ment Amendment with PRC Public Sector Inc .
BACKGROUND
The City entered into an agreement with PRC Public Sector,
Inc . on March 30, 1995, to provide Computer Aided Dispatch
for the City of Elgin. Due to the constantly changing nature
of the computer industry, during implementation numerous
modifications were suggested to the original equipment list
to maximize current technology. The equipment substituted
was superior in speed and processing power. Through careful
modification of the networking options, a more efficient and
powerful system was delivered with no increase in cost.
The suggested Amendment #1, catalogs the substitutions and
modifications . Computer Aided Dispatch is operational and
began live operation December 4 , 1997 .
The Fire Department is continuing to review vendors for
mobile computer terminals for the fire apparatus . The police
cruisers ' computer terminals are installed and operational,
with full interactive dispatch planned for Spring of 1998 .
