I, Dolonna Mecum, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that I am the
City Clerk of the City of Elgin, in the Counties of Kane and
Cook in the State of Illinois, and that as such City Clerk I

City of Elgin and the seal thereof .

DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REAL ESTATE LOCATED
AT SPAULING AND GIFFORD ROADS IS APPROPRIATE FOR CLASS 6B
COOK COUNTY REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CLASSIFICATION

adopted by the Elgin City Council at its legally convened
meeting held on September 9 , 1998 .
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the corporate seal of the City of Elgin at the said
City in the County and State aforesaid this September 16 ,
1998 .

RESOLUTION
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT
SPAULDING AND GIFFORD ROADS IS APPROPRIATE FOR CLASS 6B
COOK COUNTY REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, GE Capital is the owner of certain real estate
located within the City of Elgin and intends to seek Class 6b
Cook County Real Property Assessment Classification; and
WHEREAS, the property to be acquired is unimproved and
will be used as a storage and maintenance facility for
mobile/modular buildings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin has
determined that the Class 6b Cook County Real Property
Assessment Classification for Permanent Index No.
06-30-400-013, 06-31-201-017 and 06-29-300-032 is necessary for
development to occur on the subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that it hereby finds and determines
that the subject property located at the southeast corner of
Spaulding and Gifford Roads, Cook County, Illinois, assigned
Permanent Index Numbers 06-30-400-013, 06-31-201-017 and
06-29-300-032 is appropriate for classification 6b under the
Cook County Real Property Assessment Classification Ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Elgin supports and
consents to the Class 6b Cook County Real Property Assessment
Classification and specifically finds that said Class 6b
Classification is necessary for development to occur on the
real property located at the southeast corner of Spaulding and
Gifford Roads, Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, and assigned
Permanent Index Numbers 06-30-400-013, 06-31-201-017 and
06-29-300-032 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to furnish the Office of the
Cook County Assessor with two certified copies of this
resolution.
