RESOLUTION
CONFIRMING NECESSITY OF CLASS 6B CLASSIFICATION
FOR REAL ESTATE LOCATED ALONG SHELDON DRIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois
has previously passed Resolution No. 95-164 , entitled
"Resolution Determining that Certain Real Estate Located Along
Sheldon Drive is Appropriate for Class 6B Cook County Real
Property Assessment Classification" ; and
WHEREAS, at the time of passing said resolution, the
property was unimproved and was intended to be used for
manufacturing purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the Class 6b
Cook County Real Property Assessment Classification for
Permanent Index No. 06-20-102-023 was necessary for development
to occur on the subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that said City of Elgin supports and
consents to the Class 6b Cook County Real Property Assessment
Classification and specifically finds that said Class 6b
Classification is necessary for development to occur on the
real property located along Sheldon Drive, Elgin, Cook County,
Illinois, assigned Permanent Index Number 06-20-102-023, hereby
ratifying the findings and action of the City Council as set
forth in Resolution No. 95-164 presented July 26 , 1995 and
adopted July 26 , 1995 by an omnibus vote of 7 yeas and 0 nays .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to furnish the Office of the
Cook County Assessor with two certified copies of this
resolution.

SUBJECT: MWSR Real Estate LLC--Class 6b Eligibility
PURPOSE
To present for City Council approval an amended resolution
providing Class 6b Cook County Real Estate Assessment Classi-
fication for the MWSR Real Estate LLC site on Sheldon Drive.
BACKGROUND
On July 26 , 1995, the City Council passed a resolution finding
and determining that the 5 . 09 acre site along Sheldon Drive in
Cook County owned by MWSR Real Estate LLC was appropriate for
Classification 6b under the Cook County Real Property Assess-
ment Classification Ordinance.
In making application to the Cook County Assessor' s Office
regarding this 6b eligibility, the Assessor' s Office has
advised MWSR Real Estate LLC that an amended resolution is
necessary so as to include the express statement and finding
that the 6b classification is necessary for development to
occur on the subject property. An amended resolution has been
placed on the City Council agenda which includes this addi-
tional necessary language.

ALTERNATIVES
Passage of the proposed resolution is the only alternative
available to provide for the Class 6b eligibility.
RECOMMENDATION
Passage of the amended resolution.
