RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF A PLAT OF EASEMENT
FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES
(Columbine Subdivision)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that Kevin Kelly, Mayor, and Dolonna Mecum, City
Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and accept a Plat of Easement for public utility purposes from
Columbine of Elgin, Inc. for the property legally described as
follows:
The West 5 . 00 feet of the East 15 .00 feet of
Lots 27 through 36 inclusive, all in Columbine
Subdivision, being a Subdivision of part of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 41 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
according to the plat thereof recorded October 20,
1995 as Document No. 95K06355, in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to cause the Plat of Easement to be
recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois .

SUBJECT: Public Utility Easement - Columbine Subdivision
PURPOSE
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the Mayor and
members of the City Council with information concerning a
request to execute and accept a grant of easement for public
utilities (Columbine Subdivision) .
BACKGROUND
Commonwealth Edison cable has been installed outside the
recorded public utility easement extending across the rear of
Lots 27 through 36 inclusive in Columbine Subdivision. The
property owner, Columbine of Elgin, Inc. , is requesting
execution and acceptance of a grant of easement to cover the
buried electric cable (reference enclosed Plat of Easement
prepared by Joseph A. Schudt & Associates) .
