RESOLUTION
APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR OAKWOOD HILLS SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby approves the preliminary plat prepared
by Scheflow Engineers dated May 19, 1997 for Oakwood Hills
Subdivision Phase 4 . The approval granted by this resolution
is tentative in nature, involving the general acceptability of
the layout as submitted, and shall not qualify the plat for
recording. Application for final approval shall be made not
later than one year after the date of this resolution and must
be supported by such drawings, specifications and monetary
assurance as may be necessary to demonstrate compliance with
applicable statutes and ordinances .

SUBJECT: Petition Review -
PURPOSE
Consideration of Petition 15-97 Requesting a Reclassification of-
Property from CI Commercial Industrial District-and PRC Planned
Residence Conservation District to PMFR Planned Multiple Family
Residence District, and a Resubdivision of a Part of Oakwood
Hills Unit 1; Property Located at 1095 and 1125 East Chicago
Street; by Oakwood Hills Partnership, as Applicant and Oakwood
t Hills Commercial Property Limited Partnership 2 , as Owner.
BACKGROUND
Consideration of Petition 15-97 was tabled at the April 9 , 1997
regular meeting of the Elgin City Council . Attached is a
request -from the applicant to leave this item on the table until
they are prepared to respond to comments from the City Council .

The applicant has requested that this item remain on the table
until- they are ready to respond to comments from the City
Council . The alternative would be to remove this item from the
table and proceed with its consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Mayor and members of the City Council
leave this item on the table until further notice -from the
applicant.

I hereby request an extension for the purpose of further
communication with our legal counsel with reference to : Item
0-8 , Consideration of Petition 15-97 , which is- a request for
reclassification of property from Cl Commercial Industrial
District - and PRC Planned Residence Conservation District to
PMFR, Planned Multiple Family Residence District, and a re- -
subdivision of a part -of Oakwood Hills Unit 1; property- located
at 1095 and 1125 East Chicago Street; by Oakwood Hills Partner-
