RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING FOR MAINTENANCE THE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN
WESTFIELD BUSINESS PARK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for
maintenance the sanitary sewer improvements located along the
east right-of-way line of Randall Road from Big Timber Road to
Alft Lane constructed in conjunction with the Westfield
Business Park.

SUBJECT: Acceptance of Westfield Business Park
Offsite Sanitary Sewer
PURPOSE
The purpose of the memorandum is to provide the Mayor and
members of the City Council with information to consider the
acceptance of subject sanitary sewer along Randall Road.
BACKGROUND
The developer, CMD, Inc . completed the subject sanitary sewer
main (depicted on Attachment A as line from point 1 to point
2) in 1989 to facilitate the development of Westfield
Business Park and Panasonic . Since 1989 two entities have
connected to the sewer, Panasonic and First Card. The water
main was constructed and is owned by the City of Elgin.
Staff from the Public Works Department have inspected the
finished work. The improvements have been constructed in a
satisfactory manner.
COMMUNITY GROUPS/INTERESTED PERSONS CONTACTED
None.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There should be no costs associated with this acceptance other

'than the usual maintenance items performed on City maintained
improvements .
LEGAL IMPACT
Acceptance of the subject improvements will result in the
transfer of ownership and control of the improvements to the
City.

ALTERNATIVES
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council accept the Westfield
Business Park Offsite sanitary sewer from Big Timber Road to
Alft Lane along the east right-of-way line of Randall Rd.
