RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING THE WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT WITHIN
THE ELGIN FOX THEATER SITE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts the water main
improvement within the Elgin Fox Theater site.

SUBJECT: Acceptance of Public Water Main Associated
with the Elgin Fox Theater Site
PURPOSE
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the Mayor and
members of the City Council with information to consider the
acceptance of the public water main within the Elgin Fox
Theater site for ownership and maintenance.
rill BACKGROUND
The developer of the Elgin Fox Theater, Mainstreet Theaters,
Inc. , has completed the public water main within the site and
is requesting the City of Elgin accept it for ownership and
maintenance. Upon receipt of this request, the City's Public
Works staff scheduled inspections to verify that the water
main was constructed in accordance to the approved site plan.
Those inspections are now complete and no outstanding
deficiencies exist.
The acceptance of the subject water main will add
approximately 635 linear feet of 8 inch diameter water main
and 130 linear feet of 16 inch diameter water main to the
City's water distribution system.

None.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no direct immediate costs associated with this
acceptance. However, maintenance and operating costs will
increase over time and will be budgeted for as part of the
rk annual budgeting process.
LEGAL IMPACT
None.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council accept the public
water main within the Elgin Fox Theater site and direct staff
to prepare the necessary resolution
