RESOLUTION
DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON DEVELOPMENT APPROVALS
WHICH COULD BE GRANTED PURSUANT TO TITLES 16 , 18, OR 19
OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, a proposed map amendment to the city' s zoning
ordinance is being prepared and shall be reviewed by the
city' s planning and development commission and shall be the
subject of a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, applications for development which could be
granted pursuant to Titles 16 , 18 or 19 of the Elgin Municipal
Code may not comply with the map amendment, as proposed, if
passed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
1 . That it finds and determines that it is in the
public interest that no further applications which could be
granted pursuant to Titles 16, 18 or 19 of the Elgin Municipal
Code be accepted while the proposed map amendment of the
zoning ordinance is being considered for property legally
described as :
LOT 404 IN VALLEY CREEK UNIT 9 ; IN THE CITY OF
ELGIN, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS (COMMONLY KNOWN AS
2325 ROYAL BOULEVARD) .
2 . That from and after March 4 , 1995 no applications
which could be granted pursuant to Titles 16 , 18 or 19 of the
Elgin Municipal Code shall be accepted until September 4 ,
1995, or such time as the proposed map amendment is voted upon
by the City Council , whichever is sooner.
