RESOLUTION
APPOINTING JAMES BURNS AS A MEMBER OF THE E-911
EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM BOARD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that James Burns be and is hereby appointed as a
member of the E-911 Emergency Telephone System Board to
fulfill the unexpired term of Eric Isom for a term to expire
May 1, 1996 .

SUBJECT: Replacement on Emergency Telephone System Board
Given the future mutual funding necessities of the creation of a
new multi-million dollar center, I would strongly recommend that
Deputy Chief James Burns be appointed to the Emergency Telephone
System Board to fill the vacancy created by Eric Isom' s
resignation.
Deputy Chief Burns handles the Police Department' s budget and
would be the appropriate person to represent me in the planning
and financial work to be coordinated with City departments and
City administration.
