RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Holmes Road and North McLean Boulevard)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication
for a public street prepared by Harold C. Westphal, Jr. , an
Illinois Land Surveyor, and dated November 3, 1992, for the
property legally described as follows :
Parcel No. 1 :
That part of Lot 1 of the First Addition to
Miller-Davis Research and Industrial Center, being a
subdivision of part of the Southeast quarter of
Section 32 and part of the Southwest quarter of
Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of said
Lot 1 that is 15 . 00 feet easterly, as measured along
said southerly line, of the Southwest corner of said
Lot 1; thence North 72 degrees 54 minutes 15 seconds
West, along said southerly line, a distance of 15 . 00
feet to the said Southwest corner of Lot 1; thence
North 07 degrees 43 minutes 25 seconds West, along
the westerly line of said Lot 1, a distance of 25 . 00
feet; thence South 31 degrees 14 minutes 01 second
East, a distance of 34 . 13 feet to the point of
beginning. Being situated in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois and containing 170 . 18 square
feet more or less .
Parcel No. 2 :
That part of Lot 7 of the First Addition to
Miller-Davis Research and Industrial Center, being a
subdivision of part of the Southeast quarter of
Section 32 and part of the Southwest quarter of
Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of said
Lot 7 that is 58 . 00 feet southerly, as measured
along said westerly line, of the Northwest corner of
said Lot 7; thence North 07 degrees 43 minutes 25
seconds West, along said westerly line, a distance
of 58 .00 feet to the said Northwest corner of Lot 7;
thence South 72 degrees 54 minutes 15 seconds East,
along the northerly line of said Lot 7, a distance
of 47 . 00 feet; thence South 73 degrees 55 minutes 03
seconds West, a distance of 25 . 00 feet; thence South
19 degrees 38 minutes 16 seconds West, a distance of
39 . 00 feet to the point of beginning. Situated in
the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois and
containing 841 . 31 square feet more or less .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to cause said plat of
dedication for a public street to be filed with the Recorder
of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois .
