RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING FOR MAINTENANCE THE UNDERGROUND IMPROVEMENTS IN
COUNTRY BROOK NORTH SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for
maintenance the underground improvements, which include water
main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer, in Country Brook North
Subdivision.

MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and Members of the City Council
FROM: Larry L. Rice, City Manager
SUBJECT: Acceptance of Underground Improvements
Associated with Country Brook North Subdivision
PURPOSE: This memorandum will provide the Mayor and Council
with information to consider acceptance of the underground
utilities within Country Brook North Subdivision for ownership
and maintenance.
BACKGROUND: The developer of Country Brook North Subdivision,
U.S. Shelter, has completed all of the underground utilities and
is requesting the City of Elgin accept them for ownership and
maintenance. Upon receipt of this request, the City's Public
Works staff scheduled inspections to verify that the utilities
were constructed in accordance to the approved subdivision
engineering plans. These inspections are now complete and no
outstanding deficiencies exist.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None at this time.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council accept
the underground utilities within Country Brook North Subdivision
and direct the staff to prepare the necessary resolution.
