RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN EASEMENT WITH
ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE
FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES
(Fox Bluff Corporate Center)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that George VanDeVoorde, Mayor, and Dolonna Mecum,
City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed to
execute an Easement with Illinois Bell Telephone for
installation of an underground telecommunications system vault
to serve the Fox Bluff Corporate Center, in, under and across
the property legally described as follows :
The South 15 . 00 feet of the North 35.00 feet of
the West 30. 00 feet of the East 130.00 feet of
Lot 44 of Fox Bluff Corporate Center, being a
subdivision of part of Section 27, Township 41
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian. Being situated in the City of Elgin, Kane
County, Illinois and containing 449 . 97 square feet
more or less .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to cause the Easement to be recorded
in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County,
Illinois .

EASEMENT
For good and valuable consideration, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the
undersigned grantors hereby grant and convey to ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY, its
successors and assigns, the right to construct, reconstruct, add to, remove, operate and
maintain an underground communication system consisting of such wires, cables, conduits,
and a Controlled Environmental Vault (C.E.V. ) as the grantee may from time to time require
for the purpose of tele-communications together with the right of access to the same easement
described herein to wit:

MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and Members of the City Council
FROM: Larry L. Rice, City Manager
SUBJECT: Grant of Easement to Illinois Bell Telephone
Company for Installation of the Telecommunications
System for the Fox Bluff Corporate Center
PURPOSE: This memorandum will provide the Mayor and Council
with information to consider granting an easement to Illinois
Bell Telephone for the installation of an underground tele-
communication system vault to serve the Fox Bluff Corporate
Center.
BACKGROUND: Illinois Bell Telephone will be installing a fiber
optic telecommunication system to service the properties within
the Fox Bluff Corporate Center. This system requires a 15 'X30 '
location for an underground vault which accommodates the
associated electronic equipment.
I .B.T. is requesting that the City of Elgin grant an easement
for the underground vault as shown on the attached sketch.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There will be no cost to the City for this
easement.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council
authorize the execution by the City Manager of the easement to
Illinois Bell Telephone.
