RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING FOR MAINTENANCE THE UNDERGROUND IMPROVEMENTS
IN OAK GROVE SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for
maintenance the underground improvements, which include water
main and sanitary sewer, in Oak Grove Subdivision, and
off-site water main.

MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and Members of the City Council
FROM: Larry L. Rice, City Manager
SUBJECT: Underground Utility Acceptance within Oak Grove
Subdivision.
PURPOSE: This memorandum will provide the Mayor and Council
with information to consider acceptance of the underground
improvements within Oak Grove Subdivision for ownership and
maintenance.
BACKGROUND: The developer of Oak Grove Subdivision, David
Ackeman, has completed all of the underground utilities and is
rk requesting the City of Elgin to accept them for ownership and
maintenance. Upon receipt of their request, the City's Public
Works staff scheduled inspections to verify that the utilities
were constructed in accordance to the approved subdivision
engineering plans. These inspections are now complete and no
outstanding deficiencies exist.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None at this time.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council
accept the underground utilities, consisting of watermain and
sanitary sewer, within Oak Grove Subdivision and direct staff to
prepare the n ssary resolution for execution.
