HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-0422 Water Tower qa -&-t as Ima4.eercuff RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR A WATER TOWER SITE WHEREAS, the American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, as Trustee under Trust Number 109526-04 dated September 29, 1989, has agreed to dedicate certain real property for a water tower site to the City of Elgin; and WHEREAS, the addition of said property to the public property owned by the City of Elgin will benefit the City and its residents . Rice, City Manager SUBJECT: Woodbridge North Acceptance of Land for a Proposed Water Tower Site PURPOSE: This memorandum will provide the Mayor and Council with information to consider accepting a deed for the subject property. 01 BACKGROUND: The City/(- uncil entered into an annexation agreement with the a Group, Inc. , on February 14, 1990 . That F agreement, among other things, required that a lot of sufficient size and in an acceptable location be deeded to the City as a site for a new water tower. The staff has been working with Zale since that time and have arrived at a concurrence in the lot location. The lot is located on College Green Drive east of Randall Road and is large enough to accommodate the proposed 1 million gallon water tower. The Trustee's Deed and plat have been reviewed by the staff and they have found them to be acceptable. A copy of the above documents are attached for your consideration. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The only cost associated with this transfer of title is approximately $50.00 to record the document with the Kane County Recorder. RECOMMENDATION:It is recommended that the City Council direct the staff to prepare the necessary resolution which would authorize the City Clerk to record the Deed for the College Green Drive water tower site with the Kane County Recorder. 4/( )- -:----.4-Lf._ r < Lar L.
