RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO PROJECT AGREEMENT
WITH THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that Larry L. Rice, City Manager, be and is hereby
authorized and directed to execute an Amendment to Project
Agreement on behalf of the City of Elgin with the Illinois
Department of Conservation to extend the completion date for
the urban trail link to June 30, 1992 , a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

AMENDMENT TO PROJECT AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO Project Agreement No. OS 89-312 is hereby made
and agreed upon by the State of Illinois. acting through the Director
of the Department of Conservation and by the City of Elgin •
pursuant to the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Act, as
amended. (P.A. 84-711 , effective January 1, 1986 ) .
The Sponsor and State of Illinois, in mutual consideration of the
promises made herein and in the Project Agreement of which this is an
amendment, do promise as follows:
That the above mentioned Agreement is amended by adding the following:
Extend the project period from September 30, 1991 to June 30, 1992

In all other respects the Project Agreement of which this is an
amendment. and the plans and specifications relevant thereto. shall
remain in full force and effect. In witness whereof. the parties hereto
have executed this amendment as of the date entered below.

Dear Mr. Malm:
Please be advised that Mr. Rice's request to extend the project period for the
above referenced project has been approved. Enclosed are two copies of the
Amendment to the Project Agreement which extends the project period until June
30, 1992. Please have Mr. Rice sign both copies and return them to me no later
than January 30, 1992.
This will be the third extension granted to the City for the completion of this
project. We clearly understand that some of the project delays were beyond your
control, however, we hope this extension will provide you with enough time to
complete this very important vital link of the Fox Valley River Trail.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me.
