RESOLUTION
PLACING TENTATIVE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR 1992 ON FILE
FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities have heretofore
determined that an annual budget be passed in lieu of an
appropriation ordinance as provided by Paragraph 8-2-9 .4 of
Chapter 24, Illinois Revised Statutes, 1989; and
WHEREAS, a tentative annual budget for 1992 has been
prepared.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
1 . That the tentative annual budget for 1992 be placed
on file and available for inspection in the office of the City
Clerk.
2 . That a public hearing on the tentative annual budget
for 1992 be held on December 18, 1991 at 8 : 00 p.m. in the City
Council Chambers .
3 . That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to
cause notice of the public hearing on the tentative annual
budget for 1992 to be given by publication in the Daily
Courier News at least one week prior to the time of the
hearing.
