LETTER OF AGREEMENT
ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY hereby requests PERMISSION AND
AUTHORITY TO INSTALL one five inch poly vinyl chloride conduitl and cable
under and across the Fox River at River Mile 72.3 in Elgin, Illinois.
WHEREAS, ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY hereinafter called the
"Petitioner", requests permission and authority from the CITY OF ELGIN
..hereinafter called the "City" to install said conduit and cable in con-
junction with the City of Elgin Water Works Improvement, Project No. 7277.
WHEREAS, the Petitioner, its successors and assigns, shall hold the
City harmless on account of all claims for damages or injury which may occur
to persons or property arising out of the installation, operation and
maintenance of said conduit and cable in said river.
WHEREAS, the Petitioner shall secure all necessary permits required by
• controlling Governmental Agencies. .
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of Six--Thousand Six Hundred
Dollars ($6600.00) , of which shall -be-made in two equal payments; the sum of
Three Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($3300.00) , in handpaid to the City by
the Petitioner, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged with the sum of
Three Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($3300.00) to be paid upon completion
of said conduit and cable installation, the City hereby grantslpermission
and authority .to the Petitioner to install, operate and maintain said conduit
and cab]e in said River.
This permit�isshereby given, accepted and its provisions agreed upon this
