RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Toastmaster Drive)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication
for a public street prepared by Edward J. Malloy, an Illinois
Land Surveyor, and dated May 22 , 1990 , for a public street for
the property legally described as follows:
That part of Sections 6 and 7 , Township 41
North, Range 9 , East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at a
point on the North line of said Section 6 , being
also the North line of Hanover Township, said point
being 855 .00 feet, as measured along said North
line, West of the Northeast corner of said Section
6; thence South 03 degrees 38 minutes 39 seconds
West (deed South 03 degrees 38 minutes West) along a
line hereinafter referred to as the West line of the
Assessor ' s Division, 3779.44 feet to an intersection
with the present northerly line of Shoe Factory
Road; thence westerly along the present northerly
line of said Shoe Factory Road, being a curved line
convex southerly and having a radius of 13172 .18
feet, an arc distance of 5 . 00 feet to an
intersection with a line 5.00 feet, as measured at
right angles, West of and parallel with said West
line of the Assessor' s Division, said last described
point being the place of beginning (the chord of
said arc bears North 88 degrees 02 minutes 56
seconds West, 5. 00 feet) ; thence North 03 degrees 38
minutes 39 seconds East along said last described
parallel line, being also the East line of the
easement for access and right of way over existing
roadway, according to the instrument recorded
December 24 , 1987 as Document No. 87674536 , 2789 .50
feet to the North line of said easement thence North
89 degrees 51 minutes 04 seconds West along the
North line of said easement, 66 .12 feet to an
intersection with a line 71 .00 feet, as measured at
right angles, West of and parallel with said West
line of the Assessor' s Division; thence South 03
degrees 38 minutes 39 seconds West along said last
described parallel line, being also the West line of
said easement for access and right of way over
existing roadway, 2787 .24 feet to an intersection
with the present northerly line of Shoe Factory
Road; thence easterly along the present northerly
line of said. Shoe Factory Road, being a curved line
convex southerly and having a radius of 13172 . 18
feet, an arc distance of 66 . 02 feet to the place of
beginning (the chord of said arc bears South 87
degrees 53 minutes 40 seconds East, 66 .02 feet) , in
Cook County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to cause said plat of
dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois.
