I have prepared the proposal indicating model number, description, Motorola's net user price, City of Elgin unit price and the extended price. Several items within this proposal are available through the Illinois State Radio Contract. This will allow the City of Elgin to enjoy substantial cost savings benefits. Please note the Public Works base station equipment and accessories portion of the proposal (Items S1 and S2) . The choice of options S1 or S2 will depend on the availability of telephone lines today and in the future. Sarro Dear Mr. Sarro: I am writing in repsonse to our meeting of March 6, 1987 regarding pricing for the radio communications equipment contract. As we had discussed, I have prepared the following equipment list and model descriptions with the associated Motorola net user price, the special City of Elgin Contract price and then the contract extended pricing. I have also included the mobile radio installation costs where appropriate. I have been informed by the Fire Department, that they will intall their own equipment and for me not to include those costs. Additionally, I direct your attention to item L, the UHF Minitor II Receivers. Motorola offers a very economical five (5) year maintenance program for $35.00 each, or 58 cents per month. This special maintenance program is only available at time of purchase. Also for a limited time, until March 28, 1987, Motorola is providing the desk top charger, a $50.00 value, for free with purchase. Please carefully consider these two items for inclusion in the contract. The proposal pricing will remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days from this writing with the exception of the Minitor II free charger promotion. Delivery of the equipment will be approximately fifty-five (55) days from purchase authorization. The ambulance telemetry equipment delivery will be approximately ninety (90) days from purchase authorization. In all cases, there will be no freight, shipping, or sales tax charged to the City of Elgin. Payment terms shall be net ten (10) days from invoice per items shipped. All equipment will include Motorola's factory warranty to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year, labor and travel to repair defective parts will be provided for one hundred twenty (120) days, from date of shipment.
