Recorded • RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT OF EASEMENT (Jaynes Industrial Park, Lot 3) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that George VanDeVoorde, Mayor, and Nancy Roll, Deputy Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant of Easement with Commonwealth Edison Company and Illinois Bell Telephone Company for installation and maintenance of neces- sary underground utilities, in, under and across the following described property: The Easterly Ten (10) feet; also the Northerly Ten (10) feet (except the Easterly Ten (10) feet and the Westerly Five (5) feet thereof) of Lot 3 in Jaynes Industrial Park, being a subdivision of part of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 32, Township 42 North, Range 8, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois, according to the plat thereof recorded June 2, 1987, as Document No. 1844959 in Plat Envelope 298, A and 2 at the Recorder of Deeds Office, Kane County, Illinois. Rice , City Manager SUBJECT: Proposed Easement Commonwealth Edison Company Lot 3 , Jaynes Industrial Park PURPOSE: This memorandum will provide the Mayor and Council with information to consider granting an easement to Commonwealth Edison at the subject location. BACKGROUND: As part of the North McLean Boulevard Improvements Commonwealth Edison is proposing to move it' s facilities in this area out of the right-of-way and into an easement around the detention facility in Jaynes Industrial Park. The detention facility is owned and maintained by the City. A map which shows the proposed easement is attached for your consideration. This work will reinforce the existing service to this area and provide for future growth in the area. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The costs associated with the recording of this document will be paid by Commonwealth Edison. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the easement for a portion of Lot 3 in. Jaynes Industrial Park.
